GIS – 25 September 2017: The 12th edition of eLearning Africa – which is the largest and most comprehensive pan-African knowledge sharing event for technology-enhanced education and training will be held from 27 to 29 September 2017 at the Intercontinental Resort in Balaclava.
The 2017 eLearning Africa international conference is jointly organised by the Ministry of Technology, Communication and Innovation, the Ministry of Education and Human Resources, Tertiary Education and Scientific Research, and Integrated Communications Worldwide Events. Around 700 participants comprising educators, entrepreneurs, learning technology experts and investors from more than 65 countries will attend.
ELearning Africa provides a forum to discuss important issues, such as access to learning and vocational training, equality and quality in education, skills and employability, health, agriculture, literacy, and governance. All these issues are informed by a prioritisation of sustainable development solutions. The 2017 theme is Learning in Context.
The programme will comprise inspiring keynotes, skill-building workshops and dynamic parallel sessions. More than 250 speakers will give presentations exploring the latest innovations, best-practice examples and issues in the field of technology and education. Several sessions will address the importance of the local context for African schools, digital literacy and mobile learning.
ELearning Africa 2017 will also feature an exhibition to host international exhibitors presenting their latest products and services. Exhibitors range from global market leaders to small grassroots start-ups.
