GIS – 12 August 2019: An Ivorian passenger was intercepted by the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) Customs Department on Sunday 4 August 2019 at the SSR International Airport on the basis of profiling. The passenger purged 75 pellets of drugs at the hospital to the tune of Rs 17.7 million.

Moreover, the Anti-Drug Smuggling Unit (ADSU) proceeded for the medical examination of the passenger as it was suspected that the latter had swallowed pellets of drugs.
