GIS - 23 October, 2019: 817 candidates across the 21 constituencies of the Republic of Mauritius have registered their candidature during the Nomination Day, yesterday, for the forthcoming general elections to be held on 07th November 2019.
The number of candidature represents a record since the holding of the first general elections in Mauritius which dates back to 1967.
