Pakistani High Commissioner to Mauritius meets Prime Minister

GIS  – 21 August, 2018: The High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Mauritius, Dr Syed Rizwan Ahmed, called on the Prime Minister, Minister of Home Affairs, External Communications and National Development Unit, Minister of Finance and Economic Development, Mr Pravind Kumar Jugnauth, today, at the New Treasury Building in Port Louis.
In a statement, Dr Ahmed underlined that the purpose of his visit was to pay his respect to the Prime Minister.  The meeting, he highlighted, was cordial and discussions focused on the different ways to further promote relations between Mauritius and Pakistan as well as to explore possibilities of new projects.
The High Commissioner pointed out that the Islamic Republic of Pakistan already has longstanding ties with Mauritius and in particular with the Minister Mentor, Minister of Defence, Minister for Rodrigues, Sir Anerood Jugnauth, who has been gracing several functions organised by the High Commission of Pakistan.
