Tourism: Open-air photo exhibition to promote Mauritius in Moscow

GIS - 28 October 2014: The Office of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority based in Russia, in cooperation with the travel magazine “National Geographic Traveller” and the famous Russian photograph Kirill Umrikhin, is currently hosting an open-air photo exhibition in Moscow on the theme “Mauritius - Ocean of Colours”.
The exhibition features a collection of 32 best photo works of Kirill Umrikhin taken in different parts of Mauritius during his recent trip to the island. The photo exhibition is being held for one month from 23rd of October to 22nd of November 2014 along Tsvetnoy Boulevard, in the very heart of Moscow. Citizens of Moscow and Russian guests will have free access to the exhibition and the expected visitors flow may reach up to 9 million people.
The aim is to visually display to visitors the various colours of Mauritius, its diversity, uniqueness, pristine beaches, rich culture and numerous activities available and hence make the destination closer to Russian travellers.
The exhibition is being promoted on the main travel and entertainment resources, social networks, print media, radio and television. The opening of the exhibition has already caused big buzz around Mauritius on social network and websites.
